1. Who we are

ServiceHop is operated by Lachlan Andrew Selkirk trading as ServiceHop (ABN: 68 280 699 582), a hospitality marketing platform based in Sydney, Australia.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Venue name, cuisine type, suburb and state
  • Your name and email address
  • Brand profile information (tone, target customer, Instagram handle)
  • NowBookIt API credentials (stored encrypted)
  • Google Ads and Meta Business Manager account IDs

Information we collect automatically:

  • Platform usage data (pages visited, features used)
  • Login timestamps and session data
  • Browser type and device information

Booking and customer data from your venue:

When you connect your booking platform, ServiceHop accesses reservation data including booking dates, times, covers, and guest segment information (aggregated counts only — we do not store individual guest names, emails or contact details from your booking platform).

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the ServiceHop platform
  • Generate AI-powered ad copy based on your venue's brand profile
  • Detect low-occupancy services and draft ad campaigns on your behalf
  • Publish approved campaigns to Google Ads and Meta via your connected accounts
  • Send you platform notifications and performance reports
  • Improve and develop our services

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your venue's customer data for any purpose other than operating ServiceHop for your venue
  • Access your ad spend funds — all ad spend goes directly from you to Google and Meta
  • Share your data with other venues on the platform

4. How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2 region).

We protect your data by:

  • Encrypting sensitive credentials (API keys) at rest
  • Using Row Level Security so each venue can only access their own data
  • Using HTTPS for all data in transit
  • Requiring authentication for all platform access

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days upon request.

5. Who we share data with

We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the platform:

We do not share your data with any other third parties without your explicit consent.

6. Your rights under Australian privacy law

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Make a complaint about how we handle your data

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

7. Cookies

ServiceHop uses essential cookies only — these are required for authentication and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on our platform.

8. Children's privacy

ServiceHop is a business platform intended for adults operating hospitality venues. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of ServiceHop after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Information we collect from Meta

When you connect your Meta Business account to ServiceHop, we receive an access token that allows us to create and manage ad campaigns on your behalf. We do not store personal data about your Facebook profile beyond what is necessary to maintain the connection. You can disconnect your Meta account at any time from your ServiceHop dashboard settings.

11. Your rights under GDPR (EU/UK users)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing: request we limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured format
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests

12. Data deletion

You can request deletion of all data ServiceHop holds about you by emailing hello@servicehop.io or by disconnecting ServiceHop from your Facebook account via Facebook's App Settings (facebook.com/settings?tab=applications). Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days and send a confirmation to your registered email address.

13. International data transfers

ServiceHop is operated from Australia. Our infrastructure uses Supabase (hosted in AWS ap-southeast-2, Sydney) and Vercel. If you access our platform from the EU or UK, your data is processed and stored in Australia. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

14. Lawful basis for processing (EU/UK users)

For EU/UK users, we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: to deliver the ServiceHop platform you have subscribed to
  • Legitimate interests: to improve our platform and prevent fraud
  • Consent: where you have explicitly agreed to specific processing, such as connecting your Meta or Google Ads accounts
