Terms of service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using ServiceHop. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Who these terms apply to

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you (“you”, “your”, “the venue”) and Lachlan Andrew Selkirk trading as ServiceHop (ABN: 68 280 699 582) (“ServiceHop”, “we”, “us”).

ServiceHop is a hospitality marketing platform that connects booking data to automated Google and Meta advertising campaigns.

2. Accounts and access

To use ServiceHop you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be authorised to operate the venue you register
  • Provide accurate and complete information during signup
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@servicehop.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. The service

ServiceHop provides:

  • Connection to your NowBookIt booking account to read reservation data
  • Automated detection of low-occupancy services
  • AI-generated ad copy for your review and approval
  • Campaign management within your connected Google Ads and Meta ad accounts
  • Performance reporting and analytics

ServiceHop does not:

  • Publish any campaign without your explicit approval
  • Access, hold or manage your ad spend funds
  • Guarantee specific advertising results or booking outcomes
  • Provide legal, financial or marketing advice

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to connect your booking platform account to ServiceHop
  • Reviewing and approving all campaigns before they go live
  • Managing your own Google Ads and Meta accounts and ensuring they comply with those platforms' terms of service
  • Your own ad spend budget and payments to Google and Meta
  • Ensuring your use of ServiceHop complies with all applicable laws

5. Ad spend and payments

Ad spend is entirely separate from ServiceHop subscription fees. When ServiceHop publishes an approved campaign:

  • The campaign runs within your own Google Ads or Meta Business Manager account
  • All ad spend is billed directly by Google or Meta to your payment method on file with them
  • ServiceHop never charges, holds or processes your ad spend funds
  • ServiceHop takes no commission or percentage of your ad spend

ServiceHop subscription fees (when applicable) are charged separately and in advance on a monthly basis.

6. Trial period

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to the platform. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use ServiceHop to:

  • Publish false, misleading or deceptive advertising content
  • Violate Google Ads or Meta advertising policies
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Collect or misuse personal data in violation of Australian privacy law
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the ServiceHop platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Data and privacy

Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy at servicehop.io/privacy. By using ServiceHop, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

With respect to your venue's customer data accessed via your booking platform:

  • You are the data controller for your customers' personal information
  • ServiceHop acts as a data processor on your behalf
  • We access only the booking and segment data necessary to operate the service
  • We do not store individual guest personal details (names, emails, phone numbers)

9. Intellectual property

ServiceHop and its content, features and functionality are owned by Lachlan Andrew Selkirk trading as ServiceHop and are protected by Australian intellectual property law.

AI-generated ad copy created by ServiceHop using your brand profile and booking data belongs to you once approved and published.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law:

ServiceHop is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that specific results will be achieved from advertising campaigns.

ServiceHop's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 3 months prior to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract.

11. Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the ServiceHop service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ServiceHop after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your Settings page. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
